Where is ELSIE CREEK?

Elsie Creek is a fictional town set near Kakadu National Park, in the top end region of the Northern Territory (NT).

In fact, I’d love to pack up and move right on in there.

Oh wait, I do live in the Top End!

What is the ELSIE CREEK SERIES about?

People. And all sorts of topics. It definitely is of a romantic nature, with the usual dash of drama, a touch of mystery, with a double dose of fun that spins to a satisfying Happily Ever After.

And at the heart of it all, it’s about friends, family, and home.

Where do the ideas come from for the ELSIE CREEK SERIES?

Around.

It’s true. I’ll just be driving around when I’ll see something … then bam!

A story takes hold and I’ve gotta put pen to paper.

I’ve trekked, travelled, boated, flown, wandered, and lived in Northern Australia for well over (cough-cough) 30+ years, so you could say I’m a long-term-local.

A local who loves exploring her big beautiful backyard, visiting places most people will never see.

So yeah, a lot of it is based loosely on the NT’s actual history including its quirky local legends.

And this is the land of legends.

What is the most amazing thing that has come from writing the ELSIE CREEK SERIES?

I could say every time one of the books hits the top of the International Bestseller lists (I think they heard my scream-of-delight when I hit #1 in the US)

or

nominated for another Reader’s Choice Award,

but no…

it’s meeting many of the fabulous ELSIE CREEK readers!!

It has been and continues to be an absolute honour and privilege receiving the many heart-warming emails or messages via social media from my readers. They’re a wonderful mix of people from all over the world, all telling me they’d love to visit the NT.

I think the NT Tourist commission should be putting me on a wage!

Mmm…
