Due to an overwhelmingly a-m-a-z-i-n-g response to the recent announcement, I’ve decided to answer the most frequently asked questions about The Stockmen Series. Starting with…
★ WHAT HAPPENS TO THE ESLIE CREEK SERIES?
Nothing. Like many readers who adore this book series, I’m not ready to finish it yet.
As for the Elsie Creek world, it continues to grow in the series spinoff: The Stockmen Series.
★WHY A NEW SERIES, AND NOT AN ELSIE CREEK SERIES BOOK?
Because of the heat levels, location, and how these differing book series are designed.
Lemme explain…
The Elsie Creek Series is a collection of stand-alone stories, meaning you can pick up a book and not feel lost if you start at book 9 or book 3. Many have done it, then went back to start at book 1 to fully immerse themselves within this small town.
Also, the Elsie Creek Series is a closed-door, sweet-styled romance. This means the hot stuff happens off the page leaving it up to your amazing imagination.
Why?
Because I wrote the Elsie Creek Series in case my mother or one of my aunties decided to read it. And it’s dedicated to my dad.
★ But then the Elsie Creek World Grew…
Along came The Station Duology, a two-part story that contains some spice, set on the biggest and oldest family-run cattle station within the Elsie Creek world. This series spinoff allowed for some characters to do crossovers, such as in The Station: Volume II there is a minor plot point that I’ve finished in Doctoring Dust, Elsie Creek Series, book 8.
Again, it’s the same principle for the upcoming Stockmen Series, an interconnected four-part series with some spice, set within the Elsie Creek World, on another cattle station called Elsie Creek Station.
Which means you can expect to revisit the small outback town and some of its regulars that we’ve all come to love…
★WHERE DID THE IDEA FOR THE STOCKMEN SERIES COME FROM?
The idea started way back in The Elsie Creek Series where we meet the youngest of the Riggs brothers, Jonathan. But now I’m including his four older brothers and their lives on their family-run cattle station.
★ LET’S MEET THE RIGGS BROTHERS:
As the hot honeys in hats (stockmen) who headline the Stockmen Series allow me to introduce you to the Riggs brothers, starting with the oldest to the youngest:
Jonathon (Rigsy) Riggs we first meet in CAKED IN DUST. But it was in MUSTER IN THE DUST that we learn about his brothers and where I got the idea for THE STOCKMEN SERIES. It’s been sitting in the background all this time, waiting for me to write their stories.
★YOU’VE MET ALL OF THE RIGGS BROTHERS BEFORE!
Surprise. Surprise. Surprise.
It’s true. Besides Jonathan (Rigsy) Riggs from the books mentioned above, we meet the eldest brother, Ryder Riggs, when he played the helpful hero in ROLLED IN DUST.
Wait, there’s more, where we again meet the Riggs brothers as they help the town’s police sergeant in WRITTEN IN DUST
★IS THIS ME SETTING YOU HOMEWORK?
I’m sure we’ve all suffered flashbacks of homework at school and all the ways to avoid it. All I’m trying to say is help you find the best way to prepare for THE STOCKMEN SERIES by catching up with some old friends or making some new friends, by reading: THE ELSIE CREEK SERIES and THE STATION DUOLOGY because there are plenty of cameo and character crossovers coming.
In the meantime, don’t forget to pre-order Ash’s story in STOCKMEN’S SANDSTORM.
