It seems simple enough where you mix, stir, flip, eat — until you realise there are variations. Different flours. Different toppings. Sugar-free, gluten-free, unicorn sprinkles… You get the idea.
But the cook behind the pan?
That’s still the same person stirring the batter, hoping it doesn’t glue itself to the ceiling fan.
That’s me.
Part-time cook. Wannabe unicorn wrangler. And destroyer of pancake dough.
Oh, is this the part where I mention I’m a writer, too?
That’s where I’ll take words, whisk them together, and create stories. The flavour may change — but the recipe doesn’t.
It’s like how a librarian shelves books into neat shelves based on their genres. Me? I mix ’em like pancake batter, baby!
After 25+ books in one genre (and 19 set in the same small town), I felt the itch to switch up the flavour. So I went digging through my archives and found an old manuscript I wrote years ago — one of over 150 full-sized novels I’d drafted before I found the courage to publish a single book.
I dusted it off. I gave it a new title. And then I let myself write the kind of story I’ve always loved:
atmospheric, magical, romantic… with a supernatural twist.
But here’s the thing, it’s still me writing romance with small-town vibes— because all the good stuff happens there. Amirite?
And I’m still giving you the same promise of that hard-won happily-ever-after.
Just with a new flavour.
