It’s release day for RUN BEAUTIFUL RUN that is a whole lotta story!
It’s been a long, hot summer since I wrote a standalone story.
The result…
A thrilling romantic adventure.
I never plotted this story, it just spilled out on the page like I was a passenger witnessing the events that followed.
I didn’t even know how it was going to end until it did, in one of those moments where my fingers hovered over the keyboard and I sat back and sighed. What a story.
Run Beautiful Run could be classed as a women’s fiction/ contemporary fiction, but it’s a book that ticks all the various story tropes:
🏃♀️it’s a woman on the run (classic cat-and-mouse chase)
🐟 who is a complete fish out of water
💸she carries the burden of a secret made from a promise, that leads to a romantic promise
💞in the classic opposites attract trope for romance
✨ where some find that it’s their destiny in the way the hero spectacularly meets our heroine
🤠who is a gorgeously fearless cattleman
✈️🚁🛻🚢oh, and it’s one big trip across Australia
It’s a fun book that dishes out the drama, with some truly nail-biting page-flipping moments (that you’d want in a thriller) but it’s also balanced out with humour and of course lashings of romance.
As I said, It’s a whole lotta story.
