Is it lucky to have seven books in a series?

Is it lucky to have seven books in a series? And what makes the number seven so lucky? It must be true, as this is a list of 40+ authors that have published more than seven books in a series…

THE NUMBER SEVEN’S SIGNIFICANCE IN OUR WORLD:

Seven is a prime number that many consider lucky, yet it’s part of our world in many things such as:

WHEN SEVEN MEANS MORE THAN JUST A NUMBER

From various sources of religion the number seven is considered a holy number, a number blessed by angels, and repeated in many various religious texts such as:

IS THE NUMBER SEVEN LUCKY?

Beyond being just a prime number, the number seven lies with plenty of legendary myths and superstitions surrounding this number. It is considered the symbol of positivity, happiness, and perfection.

In my brief tour of numerology, seven represents the quest for knowledge and spirituality.

Then I stumbled on this 1950s study that claimed to start the lucky seven rumour by naming it the ‘magical number seven’ when scientists discovered that our brain’s working memory could only remember seven digits at one time.  That explains why we can’t remember those long phone numbers or passwords. Huh!

So how do they explain the seven-year itch?

SEVEN USED AS A NAME:

There are many stores and businesses that must be onto a secret such as:

  • Seven Eleven
  • Lucky Seven Bourbon
  • Lucky Seven general stores
  • Lucky Seven delis and café
  • Even a Lucky Seven Casino and the Lucky Seven Slot machines.

Of course, there are characters in books and movies also bearing the name seven, but did you know that there are over 1500 people bearing the name Seven? True story.

Elsie Creek Series, book 7, WRITTEN IN DUST, is about to be released, with many more in the pipeline to continue this outback romance series.

As they say, the number seven is for luck, I’ll take it because the characters in book 7, WRITTEN IN DUST, search for knowledge in discovering buried secrets in the outback!

Huh, maybe there really is truth in the depth of knowledge and luck when it comes to number seven — even in books.
