I was inside a busy seafood restaurant, watching a spectacular sunset by the sea. The cutlery caught the flickering of the candle on our table set for four, where I was putting on my best performance meeting a boyfriend’s parents. We’d had entrée, moved onto the main meal and indulged in the seafood. I’m sure you’ve been there, trying to crack a crab shell or peel a prawn in a lady-like fashion can be a huge challenge.
The waitress cleared the table while we were discussing the deserts options. When, somehow, the waitress got bumped and spilled our entire table’s worth of crusty shells and squeezed lemon wedges into my lap!
Now let that soak that in for a moment, shall we…
In my lap, my skirt resembled a clogged garbage disposal unit full of seafood shells, while juices dribbled down my legs and into my shoes.
